P is for... Pogs

A "pog" was a small cardboard chip which held absolutely no value whatsoever. Poggers purchased, yes, purchased these poker... er pog chips for bragging rights during playground pog conventions.

"Pogs" were simply an easy revenue tactic used by major corporations with the intention of training the adolescent mind to follow the "Greed is Good" American't creed. More means power.

I am bitter. "Pogs" took my allowance money.

  1. Were the pog conventions fun? If so, the allowance money went to a good cause, at least :)
