My personal Valentine's Day Selections...

Alright singletons---tomorrow is the day that many of you dread. It's Valentine's Day! Think of it this way, people who are in relationships have to force their love by becoming a product of consumerism. Enjoy the day with the ones you love, give a hug, not chocolate... unless it's one of those dark chocolate raspberry truffles...

But if all your friends are out, or spending time with their significant lover, enjoy these films that will assure you why it's a day to love yourself and the things that matter after the fated February 14th is over...

And fellas, this blog entry does not exclude you!

A recent divorcee heads to Tuscany to find herself. She learns to enjoy the simple things in life and the people who really matter.
 The Devil Wears Prada
There's more to life than moping about love. Enjoy yourself, do what you want to do, everything will come into place! Hathaway's character, Andy Sachs, and Adrien Grenier's Nate, realistically portray the issues and entanglements that we face during our 20somethings.
 Moonstruck
Young Nicholas Cage plays a puppy who just wants some lovin', Cher puts him in his place with the best scene "Snap out of it!"
 Monster
Fellas, don't just look for a "good time" female for the evening. She could be a serial killer..
 Reality Bites
Pretty much sums it up. It's got AIDS scares, sexual identity crises, with sprinkles of "love stinks."
 Made of Honor
It's a role reversal update of My Best Friends Wedding. The man is the made of honor to his best friend's wedding. He's her bitch. hehe.
 Legally Blonde
In the beginning of the first and only film I believe that matters in the franchise, Elle Woods believes her special night with Warner will lead to a wedding proposal. After they enjoy an intimate dinner at a fancy restaurant, toolbag Warner dumps her because she's too "blonde." Elle decides to carve her own path at Harvard Law School. Not only does she learn law, but she doesn't need a man to be successful!
 Juno
This film will remind you that Valentine's Day may just not be worth it..
 How I Met Your Mother
Finally, a show about a man looking for his future wife. Ted is the whiny, I want to be settled down lovey dovey-er.
 High Fidelity
The chick flick for men. A "dick" flick. Ladies, watch a man analyze his past relationships... it'll give you a nice break from your own..
 When Harry Met Sally
This is just a good flick.
Gentlemen, the eve before Valentine's Day is coined "Mistress Day." Do not partake in this.
Ladies, do not desperately try to find a Valentine's Date to just have one for the sake of the day.
 Kill Bill Vol 1 & 2
Uma is "the wife" and she is out to find her husband Bill, and well, kill him.
 Steel Magnolias
This movie is about the love of friends, embrace them! Do not sit at home, with a cliche pint of chocolate ice cream, and dwell about not having a man! Listen to The Format's hit song, "The First Single." They were right..... All you need is a few good friends
 Say Anything
Boys in love. Trying to win the heart of a woman. Lloyd Dobler, you are a prized gem. I love seeing men become suckers in love. They do have souls!
